Nineteen of Medvedev's 21 titles have been won on hard courts
A comeback the Russian player claimed his initial championship for over two years with victory over Frenchman Moutet in the competition title decider.
The athlete, a former number one, has had a torrid season, managing just a single victory at the big events and suffering a meltdown at the American major.
The player's inconsistency on the tennis tour - and issues with his serve in particular - led to him exiting of the top ten and ultimately splitting with long-time coach Gilles Cervara.
Presently collaborating with Johansson and Goetzke, he has steadily improved in the recent weeks - climaxing in a tightly fought competitive win over challenger Moutet.
This marks the player's first title following the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hardcourt from that period of that year.
Victory also signifies Medvedev has won 21 titles at 21 different events.
"It's the first time I am participating in a competition with my both daughters together, so to secure a championship is especially meaningful," commented tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in honour of my child my daughter, because the maiden victory I won when my child her name was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his past six title deciders, including in that event previously this season.
Medvedev's retrieving strategy and recurring emotional displays on the playing surface had caused commentators to question if his skill to play at the elite level was finished.
But the 29-year-old has made changes in the past month, attempting to approach the net and compete positively, backed up by an better serve.
The champion fought back from a break down in the initial set against the challenging opponent, taking four of the last five points to take the lead.
Both players swapped break points in the following set before the Frenchman, bidding for his first tour title, gained dominance to create a decider.
The opponent saved 4 initial chances in a competitive third set before Medvedev secured a break to 15 to serve for the match.
Suitably, Medvedev earned the win with a shot at the net, with the Frenchman failing to handle a return after a lengthy match.
